Adding fuel to the fire! Time to let the YouTube family know what I enjoy and need to eat in a typical marathon training day. The volume of running continues to rise and having the correct fuel for the demands of marathon training is absolutely key. Filling in the gaps of training with proper recovery and fuel is essential for maintaining healthy living during the build-up to a peak race, which for me is the marathon distance at the Cleveland marathon in May. I believe you will see some good food and absolutely delicious meals throughout this vlog. Marathon training is nothing to mess around with. While preparing for the marathon, timing our meals to coincide and dovetail well with our bouts of training is certainly necessary. Carbohydrates are high on my list of essentials for the marathon body. Carbohydrates are great fuel for burning on those longer training runs in leading up to a marathon.
